After 27 years our friends at Shooting People have decided to call time on an amazing resource which has consistently helped filmmakers to connect, support each other and exchange ideas of how to get indie films made.
Whilst that news is very sad, they are still accepting members before it closes on 31st October. Why? Because you get access to all this:
• Obvs, we’re going out with a bang: fresh events & ways to connect, crew/cast calls, more funds/opportunities, a (massive) celebratory party, and just dropped; a handpicked Resources hub spotlighting some of the awesome film orgs and collectives, building the future from the ground up. You need to know about them.
• Meanwhile your account will run exactly as it already does. At the end of September, we will stop charging all subscriptions, but a full SP service will run right up until October 31st for members. We'll also keep key Funding and Resources information available online for the long haul.
• COMING UP: Join us and fellow Shooters online, on Weds, Aug 6th, for a standout event: Behind the Balaclava – The Making of Kneecap. Hear directly from Director Rich Peppiatt (a Shooter!) and Producer Trevor Briney. Bring your questions and find out what radical films like this actually involve - on the ground.

Shooting People has consistently supported Emerging Voices Film Foundation by promoting the fund to their database and we have had huge numbers of submissions over the years. Thank you Shooting People and good luck to Cath and Jim in all your future endeavours.
