Matthew Lawes-Wickwar founded Other Brother Studios in 2016. He was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award (2025) and is a BAFTA Connect member (2022–2026). He is alumni of BFI Network x BAFTA Crew (2017–2019), and has been a mentee of ScreenSkills, Creative UK, Norfolk/Suffolk County Council Innovation, and the Creative Enterprise Foundations for Film and TV (2022). He received the DCMS Create Growth Fund (2022).
As an editor, Matthew completed his first feature, Antony Green’s DANIELLE BRANDON ENERGY (2024), which earned an RTS editing nomination and won three awards, including Platinum at the 2024 MUSE Creative Awards. His second two-part feature, Antony Green’s R.A.D® CHAPTER ONE + THE MAKING OF THE R.A.D® ONE V2, was completed in 2025. He has 17 years’ experience editing and grading documentaries, brand films, and social content, with over 15 million combined views.
As an executive producer, he has a slate of features in development, including two projects with the BFI. Short films he has produced have screened at 200+ international festivals, won 25 awards, and three have secured distribution.
In 2016 he started a film fund that became the charity Emerging Voices Film Foundation in 2023, supporting under-represented UK filmmakers with grants, mentoring, and kit-hire credit.
