At the end of last year we submitted an ambitious proposal to the DCMS Create Growth Fund and Innovate UK, to setup the first dedicated post-production studio in Suffolk for Film & TV. Thankfully they thought it was a great idea and we were awarded a grant to make that happen!
So happy to finally announce that the post-production company is now setup and it's called Post Folk!
Project funding was awarded by Innovate UK through the DCMS Create Growth Fund.
What does this mean? Well the seed funding provided means that the studio now has a brand new edit and grade setup, which includes a Mac Studio (Apple M2 Ultra with 24-core CPU, 76-core GPU, 32-core Neural Engine, 192 GB unified memory, 8TB SSD), Apple Pro Display XDR, Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 touch. This will enable working across much larger scale editing and grading projects than we have previously been able to deliver, expanding what is technically and creatively possible for our business.
Other Brother Studios (and now Post Folk) are determined to play our part in an ever expanding effort to put Suffolk on the map for filmmaking opportunities and this feels like a positive step towards that collective goal.
We are already working on lots of incredible projects thanks to this opportunity from Innovate UK and DCMS The setup has been tested on multiple projects (it’s incredible) and the calendar is fully booked until the end of the year already ...wasn’t expecting that to happen so quickly… but ask nicely and we can find a way to accommodate your project ;)
